if you see me from afar right now (not very possible unless you live in the Bayshore and you're spying through my windows with a pair of binoculars), i'll appear to be facing the computer with a huge blue bowl in front of me.
then you'll wonder: what is she doing? is she eating something? popcorn while watching a movie on the com?
upon closer inspection, you'll realise that the apparent 'bowl of popcorn' is actually a blue dustbin and yes, i'm cutting my nails in front of the computer while blog hopping.
wow.
okay random shitass stuff i always come up with aside, time for more random emo rants about the world, the universe and everything.
1. WHO CAME TO SCHOOL LAST MONDAY (deepavali school holiday), TRIED TO OPEN THE CO ROOM AND TRIGGERED THE ALARM THEN CLAIMED TO BE YEAR 4 DYB MEMBERS? WHOOOOO? WHO WHO WHO? COWARDS AND IMPOSTORS! WHO WOULD BE CRAZY ENOUGH TO GO TO SCHOOL ON A SCHOOL HOLIDAY ANYWAY? IT'S NOT US! WENYI WASNT EVEN FREAKING IN SINGAPORE.
2. now i am subjected to praying to all gods there are out there to let me have my desired academic outcome. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE OH GOD PLEASE LET ME HAVE WHAT I WANT IT'S NOT SUCH A BIG THING TO ASK FOR.
(warning: academic rant coming up ahead. dont want to read can skip the rest of this para.)
the thing is, getting good results for this year is extremely important to me at this stage because my parents are gna retire in a couple of years (they're older than most parents. my mum gave birth to me at freaking 39 years old.)
my dad's alr looking into retirement plans and all. it's damn disturbing and stressful for me.
and uni's gna take a toll in terms of finance. my eldest bro doesnt have a scholarship, 2nd bro wants to take up a 6 year architectual course that will totally BURN a hole.
it's not like my family doesnt have the money to pay for our education, but i just dont want to be a financial burden when my dad's not working anymore.
that's why it's crucial that i take up at least 10 units next year to be eligible for a scholarship.
somemore i'm planning to go uni overseas, most desirably UK or USA.
that's why im taking SATs also next year.
unis in both places are NOT GNA BE CHEAP AT ALL. plus boarding fees and food and everything, it's gna be fking ex.
THAT'S HOW MY RESULTS NOW ARE GNA AFFECT MY FUTURE AND POSSIBLY MY WHOLE LIFE CAN'T YOU JUST LET ME HAVE WHAT I NEED?
and of course im thinking all this discreetly and i didnt tell my parents any of it.
3. i just realised i screwed my junior high life. cant afford to screw my senior high one. i've gotten my priorities wrong and had too much fun. now i'm paying the consequences. nope. all serious stuff next year.
4. thought about it, and figured that the person you most depend on for emotional support is the person in your mind when you're feeling helpless. sounds very duh-ish but you have to experience it to see what i'm talking about. during my most emo time ytd (you all know which paper), it was still the same person that came into my head after all these months. now i know what miao means when she said that shimei's her one pillar of emotional support. it's the same as him for me i guess. but i've been making an effort not to contact him for weeks. forget it.
okay i need to go prac piano now.
got a first movement to bring up to speed (presto), 2nd movement to master the semiquaver-against-triplet demisemiquavers passage and a third movement to start, which also includes contrasting rhythm (wth!).
piano at 4 tmr, going to buy Vienna Boys' Choir tics afterwards.
last call for tickets now.

missing steve like crazy.
two facts:
1. I met the president today! well not really directly i was on 14 on the way home from plaza and was squeezed to face the window while standing and at a traffic light i saw this white mercedes stop and i realised that it's SR Nathan!! he's sitting at the back with 2 ppl sitting in front and there was another white vehicle behind and i think that it's part of his security measures also. so cool right! super excited and he waved to me (well maybe not really me but the whole bus) and i was the only one who noticed and waved back and he waved to me again!
wheee it was quite exciting and funny hahaha!
2. I'm not going for YEP anymore. as to why ask me personally. good luck filling the 200 ppl quota.Labels: random

Writing in point form is easier than writing in paragraphs.
so here goes:
1. As expected, today was a miserable day thanks to the return of the EOY papers. wanna know how i did ask me personally.
2. I am miserable, saddened, and utterly disappointed and disgusted at myself.
3. I dreamt of Steve yesterday night! it was like the only good dream that i had in a really long time. i was in this super deep sleep and i didnt want to wake up.
4. Went to suntec after school to eat with Eunice, Miao, Karis, Yi hui, Bella and Joyce. wanted to eat Astons but ended up eating New York New York.
5. Shared 4 dishes among the 7 of us and ended up really full. this shows that girls should never eat one set by herself.
6. Went plaza to buy halloween stuff for trick-or-tricking on saturday. couldnt find any at spotlight OR daiso.
7. They're now selling CHRISTMAS decorations which drives me pretty nuts because it's not even Halloween yet and they're selling christmas stuff 2 months in advance.
8. In the end did not buy anything except for a starbucks mocha frap. thanks to shilun i got addicted to them (bought venti as he said its the most worth it).
9. IT'S STEVE'S BIRTHDAY SOON!!!!!
10. Just realised that Mr Teo is a super super great teacher. i owe him a lot of thanks for attempting to provide me a little hope for history when i was so downright depressed just now. I owe him big and shall repay him someday.
11. Got a lot of stuff to do these upcoming weeks. Halloween stuff and DYB stuff.
12. Shimei's birthday coming soon, need to get her something!!! lots of stuff on my shopping list.
13. BOTH Shimei and Steve are Scorpios!! that's nice to know. :D
14. Glad that the BSP people are back even though i am absolutely terrified to try what shimei had given us.
15. Going to buy Vienna Boys' Choir tickets soon. anyone joining us?
16. I shall finish pokemon diamond by this week before my r4 can spoil any further.
17. Shall go on and make this list a nice number 20.
18. I'm going to update faithfully in this blog every day! (fat hope.)
19. I think i want to go gift-shopping for birthdays, christmas and to give my year 4 teachers this year.
20. Massive book list for both to read and to buy. still reading Sophie's World and can't wait for Kino 20% sale!

guess what. it turned out that the complete beethoven piano sonatas had ONE MISSING CD.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
MY CD 7! ):
so in the end i still ended up with an incomplete set of sonatas.
stupid yihui didnt really notice/care when she borrowed before me so now i have to report it.
but now in my hands is another masterpiece.
or a set of masterpieces, if i have to put it in another way.

hahaha i feel rather guilty for borrowing all these massive works BUT what's the music library for?
anyway today was pretty okaaayyy, i mean for mep.
recording was totally fun even though we stayed until the latest we ever did for mep, near 7.
zx's dad fetched us to tampines mrt afterwards, and we get to rummage through his impressive cd collection in the car.
in the end we listened (and sang) to POTO (in case there are some nitwits out there, it's the Phantom of the Opera).
makes me recollect that time i went to watch in year 2 when they came.
why did i only spend like 98 bucks on it?
should have bought the 180 bucks one. grr.
anyway instead of taking mrt back home me and yihui decided to explore Tampines One haha so we walked around the entire mall.
was pretty nice, had good food (it has subway!!) so will go back next time. (:
came back and prac scaramouche, gna play with zx again tmr after sch for a while.
after char's chem prac tmr dhscodyb year 4 non-comm's going out again! whee (:
look forward to it.
last chance i can relax before i have to face the upcoming intolerable weeks.
they remind me of this period of time with similar crazy demands from teachers in form of tests and assignments, i think around April-May.
the main difference is: he's not going to be around for me anymore. things are going to be busy for him soon also.
i'll have to rely on myself now.
random note: I miss Harry. and Steve.
i mean, i kind of gave up on Harry because he doesnt update twitter since 17th july, i dont even know whether he's dead or not.
but i've always been keeping up on steve but now he's MIA also ):

what i have now in my hands is pure gold.
seriously.
it's the complete BEETHOVEN PIANO SONATAS BY ALFRED BRENDEL.
yes, no kidding, the entire box set that has 10 cds and probably costs around a 3 figure sum.
and here it is in my hands. gosh i feel so powerful now, even better than when i had the complete set of mahler's symphonies (i didnt even like mahler that much).
oh once again i'm so glad that i'm in the DHP MEP class.
